Joseph Ellicott was a 6 foot - 4 inch Marylander who came to Western New York and transformed the land from an endless wilderness to a frontier to a thriving civilization. This podcast tells his story from his birth to when he finished the Great Survey. It also includes brief descriptions of the Holland Land Company, Andrew Ellicott, Benjamin Ellicott, the Treaty of Big Tree and the Great Survey.
